The Morehead Optimist Club is a local chapter of Optimist International, a worldwide volunteer organization made up of more than 2,500 local Clubs whose Members work each day to make the future brighter for our youth.  The Morehead Optimist Club was founded in 1964 and continues to flourish today, providing more than $175,000 annually to the youth of Morehead and Rowan County.

Historically, the Morehead Optimist Club has raised funds for its youth programs through Christmas tree sales, fishing tournaments and most recently bingo at Cave Run Bingo.  Our bingo operation is licensed through the Kentucky Department of Charitable Gaming and is open every Friday and Saturday night with the exception of July, when we close for the month.
